Seems an odd way to begin a Fighter Squadron Forum, but somebody's got to get this party started.

Anyone have any info on a B17 Bomber that was assigned to the 352nd Fighter Squadron. My Dad might have been the Radioman on that Fortress.

Since I first posted this request, I've found info regarding the "H2X" & "H2S" Radar systems that were retro-fitted to B 17 Bombers in place of the Ball Turret. It's a stretch, so far, as to how a B 17 came to be assigned to the 352nd Fighter Squadron, but this is the best info I have so far to explain the facts I'm working with.

Any ideas at all would be apprieciated in lew of Facts.

My Dad was a Radioman on Bombers, yet he was discharged from the "352nd Fighter Squadron". I just want to know WHY? And HOW that happened?
